Your mission

Job description
  • Your mission at Climeworks is to be an important part of the Sorbent Team within the Technology department.
  • You are responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of an excellent lab and analytical infrastructure. You are on top of chemical instrumentations for characterizing porous materials.
  • You will also be supporting the scientists on synthesis projects in the development of sorbent materials, and carrying out analytical measurements for the team
  • You manage the lab capacity and utilization planning in line with the company priorities.
  • You are accountable for the chemical inventory and consumables.
  • Furthermore, you ensure that the chemical safety sheets and SOPs are always up-to-date and in line with the newest standards.
  • You are responsible for a strong safety-first culture in the laboratory and ensure that the laboratory infrastructure is safe to operate at all times. You are also responsible that all Climeworkers working in the lab are properly trained in this respect.
  • You participate in the safety auditing of our laboratories and follow up in case of findings.

Your story

  • You hold a degree in chemistry or material science (BSc or MSc) or suitable combination of education (apprenticeship and HPF) and relevant industry experience.
  • You worked in similar roles for at least six years, coordinating safe and effective chemical laboratories and have a profound experience in chemical and analytical laboratory work and related HSE.
  • You are a team player that works quickly, independently and on schedule.
  • You are highly reliable, take strong ownership, and are self-driven.
  • You are motivated to join a world-leading technology development company and tackling great challenges that require out of the box thinking.
  • You are fluent in English (German is a plus).
