Your mission

Job description
  • Your mission at Climeworks is to manage the characterization of lab and related equipment, ensuring instruments are appropriately maintained and calibrated, troubleshooting any issues, and maintaining good, safe laboratory practices according to company rules and regulations.
  • You make sure that lab instruments and related consumables, such as spare parts or solvents, are available at any time.
  • You stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art developments on the market for relevant scientific instruments, contributing to new instrument selection.
  • You plan and coordinate the measurement needs of the technology team.
  • You perform experiments on laboratory instruments and document the results thereof.
  • You document and develop the standard operating procedures and methods.
  • You also train fellow Climeworkers in the appropriate use of instruments.

Your story

  • You completed the Naturwissenschaftliche/r Labortechniker/in HFP or equivalent.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in chemical laboratories with a focus on materials characterization.
  • You also have experience with analytical devices for porous particle/powder characterization, such as mercury porosimetry, nitrogen adsorption, or dynamic vapor sorption (DVS).
  • You also gained experience with the requirements and infrastructure needed to operate analytical devices correctly.
  • You have the readiness to learn about new applications/analysis methods.
  • You also have the capability of handling several assays or projects in parallel and working independently with minimum supervision.
  • You are fluent in English
