On this page, we're sharing our own publications on various topics. We hope you enjoy diving into them!
In this third edition of the Climeworks industry snapshot, our bi-annual publication focusing on the DAC industry, we feature contributions from scientists, industry and policy experts discussing DAC technology and exploring how it can help to ‘supercharge’ carbon removal.
We have put together the most important highlights of the fourth edition of the Direct Air Capture Summit, building on the insights of our fantastic speakers, as well as Climeworks' own research and experience.
Our co-CEOs and co-founders Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher kicked off the Direct Air Capture Summit 2023 with a presentation outlining the current state of the carbon removal industry with its opportunities and challenges - we are sharing the slides here.
In April 2022, Climeworks published a statement calling for a clear distinction between emissions reductions and carbon dioxide removal - in climate pathways, target setting and industry standards. The reactions have been very affirmative and while Climeworks initiated the statement, it became clear that it addresses a topic relevant to the broader carbon removal ecosystem.
Emissions reductions and carbon dioxide removal fulfil two fundamentally different purposes in solving the climate crisis and present differing dynamics. Hence, Climeworks believes that the two solutions should be clearly separated and treated differently, in line with climate science.
Climeworks introduces its second industry snapshot, a publication focusing on the trends and topics driving growth within the direct air capture (DAC) industry. In this iteration, Climeworks examines the increasing deployment of DAC technology, and the conditions necessary to further drive it.
What does MRV actually mean? Find out here and learn how Climeworks partnered with Carbfix and DNV to develop the world’s first full-chain methodology dedicated to CDR via direct air capture and storage (DAC+S).
Climeworks developed a full-chain methodology for CDR via DAC+S with Carbfix and DNV.
For the third year in a row, Climeworks brought together the industry key players at its Direct Air Capture Summit 2022. Scientists, opinion leaders, pioneering companies, and policy experts came together to discuss the roles that the public and private sectors play in driving climate solutions and meeting global net zero goals. We summarized the insights for you here.
In Climeworks' first "Industry snapshot" report, expert contributors weigh in on what policymakers, technology providers, investors, and businesses can do to support the sustainable growth of the industry.
