Climeworks removes CO₂ from the air to fight global warming and protect future generations to come.

We develop, build and operate direct air capture (DAC) machines which capture CO₂ directly from the air. The captured carbon dioxide is removed from the air by safely storing it underground, permanently.

Founded in 2009 by engineers, Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher, Climeworks was built with a mission to inspire 1 billion people to remove CO₂ from the air, and is now spearheading the DAC industry globally. Your mission

Job description
  • Your mission is to empower the CEO: You will be at the helm of managing our CEO's calendar, inbox, and contacts, enabling him to stay focused on strategic priorities and key engagements. This includes coordinating complex meetings with internal and external stakeholders across different time zones. Your meticulous planning ensures that every interaction is productive and seamless.
  • Travel Management Maestro: From flights to accommodation, event registration and logistics, you'll be the mastermind behind our CEO's travel arrangements. Your knack for optimization will ensure every journey is both cost-effective and time-efficient.
  • Building Bridges: You'll forge strong relationships across all levels of our organization, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Special Projects Champion: Depending on your background, skills and interests, you'll have the opportunity to take on special projects, going beyond administrative tasks and showcasing your accountability and initiative.
  • Presentation Pro: Supporting the CEO in crafting compelling presentations will be a key part of your role. Armed with tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, you'll keep our content fresh, engaging, and impactful, always on the lookout for ways to enhance it
  • Beyond the Basics: You will also handle a variety of administrative and coordinating tasks and provide additional support as needed, ensuring the smooth functioning of our CEO office.

Your story

  • You possess a Federal diploma or higher, along with a certification as an Executive Assistant (Fachausweis or similar). Holding a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant disciplines would be advantageous.
  • With at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a professional services environment (ideally in a consulting firm or a tech/industrial company), you're well-equipped to excel. Throughout your career you've demonstrated discretion and trustworthiness, especially when handling confidential information.
  • You demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft 365 package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams), coupled with a strong grasp of contemporary office IT systems and business tools.
  • You possess excellent written and spoken English language skills (German is a plus), essential for effective communication and collaboration in a global setting.
  • You are organized, responsive, energetic and resilient and you have a proven track record of organizing flights, logistics, and events.
  • You have stellar communication skills and excel in stakeholder management.
  • You are detail-oriented and approach your work with a high degree of accuracy. Challenges don't deter you; instead, you're known for your strong problem-solving skills and your proactive approach.
  • You can work autonomously and have a knack for anticipating organizational needs. Your strong intellectual curiosity and creative thinking contribute to a broader understanding of our organizational goals and challenges.
