Your mission
Job description
Supplier network: You engage, build and maintain strong relationships across new and existing NbS project developers globally.
Portfolio management: You maintain a detailed understanding and up-to-date knowledge of all of our preferred NbS projects and the broader market, manage deliveries and additional volume confirmations for all NbS contracts.
Contract negotiations: You onboard new suppliers, setup and negotiate contracts to ensure highest quality supply for Climeworks’ customers.
Portfolio expansion: You manage continual integration of NbS projects into the Climeworks portfolio (database management, customer matching, etc).
Sales support: You support sales in enabling deals with NbS volumes, by inputting into proposals, RfIs or participating in pitch meetings.
Market insights: You stay up to date with market movements, major deals, policies relating to NbS and brief senior management on the developments.
NbS strategy: You shape the Climeworks’ NbS strategy together with our scientific lead by weighing expected demand, available supply, financing models, methodologies, etc.
Broader Commercial strategy: You contribute to team efforts on sourcing, business model and general commercial strategy more widely, including representing CW at external events.
External representation: You are the face of Climeworks in the nature-based world by participating in panels, speak on stages and generally be visible in the CDR ecosystem.
Your story
Requirements
Education & Experience: You have an excellent academic record in a relevant field and at least 2 years of work experience in nature based solutions and a fast-paced, analytical environment; additional work experience in a fast-paced, analytical environment is a plus.
Deal Sourcing: You bring experience in deal sourcing, with an understanding of partnership development, contract negotiation, and voluntary carbon market (VCM) dynamics.
Strategic & Analytical Skills: You think strategically while maintaining a pragmatic approach and have strong analytical capabilities.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: You proactively identify issues, develop creative solutions, and remain flexible while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Project and Stakeholder Management: Proven project management skills and experience in senior stakeholder management.
Team Player: You collaborate effectively and communicate confidently in English with senior internal and external stakeholders, and actively contribute to the growth of Climeworks' partnerships and network.

The salary range has been set by factors such as function, career level, and location and therefore may vary. The US base salary for this full-time position is typically $110,000-$150,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We use the recruitment process to determine your career level, job-related skills, and depth of experience to make an informed and fair salary offer.
