We develop, build and operate direct air capture (DAC) machines which capture CO₂ directly from the air. The captured carbon dioxide is removed from the air by safely storing it underground, permanently.

Your mission

Job description
  • Your mission is to grow and scale strategic partnerships with the financial and professional services sector, with a strong focus on the European insurance sector, actively shape Climeworks’ offering and value proposition, and position Climeworks as the leading CDR company to our prospects & stakeholders.


Sales gameplan:

  • You develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap and game plan to sustainably win key financial and professional services customers (With a focus on the insurance sector), in line with Climeworks’ ambitious goals and vertical strategy.
  • You lead the sales process end-to-end from identifying prospects to crafting long-term partnership proposals, contract negotiation and management of existing customers.
  • You develop innovative solutions to address key customer needs and drive engagement.


Build customer relationship & forge industry alliances:

  • You build and nurture relationships with Sustainability executives & C-level at our top European prospects and leverage your network to access and engage key decision-makers.
  • You develop a network of alliances and influencers to advance the funnel and position Climeworks as the strongest industry partner.
  • You represent Climeworks at high-profile industry events & speaking engagements.


Work as one team:

  • You contribute to a high-energy, entrepreneurial and team-oriented culture, foster collaboration across the vertical team and cross-functional units (eg: Finance, Science, Legal, Policy, etc.) to improve customer conversion and value proposition.

Your story

Requirements
  • You hold a Master degree and ideally possess knowledge/expertise on sustainability topics.
  • You have proven experience in enterprise sales (min. 8 years) by either working within the insurance sector or selling to insurance companies.
  • You have successfully closed large and complex enterprise contracts with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, and possess a network in the insurance industry.
  • You are a skillful negotiator, and you have the ability to translate and explain complex concepts clearly and easily to a wide audience.
  • You are an inclusive and humble team player, a creative problem solver, a strong communicator and an active listener.
  • On top of that, you are fluent in English and in either German or French.
