Your mission

Job description
  • Your mission at Climeworks is to accelerate collector container (CC) product development and product optimization by using validated 3D simulation tools such as ANSYS to improve predictive capabilities and reduce testing requirements.
  • Your goal is to optimize new and existing plants’ functionality in terms of CO2 yield, energy consumption, cost per unit CO2 and lifetime, as well as to predict plant performance.
  • You will establish an in-house knowledge base for CFD and multi-physics simulations.
  • You are responsible for the quality of simulations by applying best practice guidelines and validation with measurement data.

Your story

  • You hold a university degree, ideally at PhD level, in mechanical, aeronautical or process engineering.
  • You have at least 3 years’ work experience in an industrial application of simulation tools in the field of computational fluid dynamics. Working knowledge of multi-physics simulation in the field of chemical reactions, mass and heat transfer and mechanical integrity is a plus. 
  • You bring advanced knowledge in fluid mechanics and numerical methods. Ideally you have working coding skills in Python or Perl or similar and in the ANSYS products.
  • You are fluent in English. German is beneficial but not required. 
  • You have a structured working style, are quality-oriented and willing to learn. 
  • You work independently, are reliable and persistent.
