Your mission

Job description
  • Climeworks is a vertically integrated innovative company in Direct Air Capture (DAC). We invent the technology, design & manufacturing the OEM product, and integrate the product into an operating DAC plant.
  • Your mission at Climeworks is to successfully lead a Climeworks Project team & EPC contractors team to execute DAC plant megaprojects in the USA.
  • You have scope, cost, schedule & quality responsibilities for the Project, while managing project risks and implementing mitigation plans to ensure a successful start-up of the facility.
  • You manage internal and external project interfaces to ensure safety & compliance, as well as efficient and effective project execution to meet Climeworks aggressive scale-up roadmap.
  • You effectively manage project teams through the project life cycle: engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning and start-up with a core focus on people and leadership culture.
  • You deliver projects in alignment with Climeworks’ strategic objectives.

Your story

Requirements
  • You have 10-15 years of project management experience in industrial gas processing, chemical facilities, and/or renewables industries’ sectors.
  • You gained experience working in an EPC environment, managing EPCs. Client & contractor experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on at least one process engineering industry (industrial gases, refineries, chemical, petro-chemical facilities and/or renewables industries) sector project as an Owner or Owner’s representative.
  • You are comfortable defining engineering deliverables, you are up to date on business processes and aware of best practices on mega projects.
  • You are a true leader and role model, a crisp communicator that easily enables fast decision-making throughout the company, and you effectively manage and influence stakeholders of multi-disciplined professionals.
  • You are a promoter of open communication and can create a positive work culture.
  • You are driven by our scale-up vision and your excellent strategic, organizational and negotiation skills set you apart.
  • You are willing and able to travel extensively during construction, commissioning & start-up phases of a project. Co-location at the engineering contractor will also be required during design.
  • You are fluent in English; German would be a plus.
