We develop, build and operate direct air capture (DAC) machines which capture CO₂ directly from the air. The captured carbon dioxide is removed from the air by safely storing it underground, permanently.

Your mission

Job description
  • Your mission at Climeworks is to enable the production manager to meet production forecasts, ensure quality, optimize operations, and collaborate with the product team for timely deliveries.
  • You are accountable for developing production plans based on project demands and production capacity. You provide such input to the scheduler of the product team.
  • You are accountable for reducing unnecessary delays and bottlenecks in the manufacturing process.
  • You are tasked with effectively managing resources by optimizing resource allocation, ensuring availability of necessary inputs, and monitoring resource utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • You are in charge of establishing and enforcing quality control measures, implementing the quality management system, and monitoring production processes to meet or exceed quality standards.
  • You are responsible for supporting design teams, creating process plans, tracking budget costs and project schedules, and developing countermeasures for timely completion of project goals.

Your story

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in steel production, preferably in a managerial role.
  • At least 10 years of experience in production management or expediting role.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, ASME and AWS related standards for steel structures, pressure vessels, process piping.
  • Strong understanding of Inspection & Test Planning.
  • Experience participating in project risk, lessons learned, schedule, and management of change.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Profound understanding of manufacturing KPIs and developing action plans to drive results.
  • Strong background in collaboration with engineering and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leader in developing technical and motivated teams.
  • Experience with a broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in new product development and launch activities.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of production systems and processes.
  • Excellent team management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to remain calm while taking charge in critical situations.
  • Business fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel 70%.
