Climeworks Direct Air Capture Summit

The 4th edition took place on June 6 2023 in Zurich and online — a platform to inspire, connect and act on carbon removal

Direct Air Capture Summit

Advancing high-quality carbon removal solutions

Carbon removals and direct air capture are at a turning point. Guided by climate science, the need to permanently remove CO₂ from the air, in addition to drastic emissions reductions, has reached a new level of attention from governments, media, and businesses throughout the past months. However, the marathon to build a carbon removal industry that successfully operates at gigaton scale has only just begun.

We strongly believe in the need to scale solutions that are net-negative, additional, verifiable, and combined with durable storage. These quality criteria have always been at the core of Climeworks’ mission, and they took center stage at this year’s summit on June 6.
